Aaron and Jordan were married at Glenwood Baptist Church in Marion, North Carolina. Their wedding day paid homage to both families love of bluegrass music. The groom, Aaron Ramsey, plays mandolin for Mountain Heart and has just released his first independent album - Gathering. I am ecstatic to share that I was Aaron’s photographer for his album, and I also created the album layout and design. Keep an eye out for the album and an ear out for his music - he is an amazing artist with lots of great musician friends coming together and playing for this project.
Their candlelit ceremony was sweet and heartfelt, with bluegrass music being played from the procession to the recession and beyond! The bride was stunning in her dress that was a custom alteration of her mother’s wedding dress by Cori Gardner (Terra Diva designs). Cori also created a custom reception dress that Jordan changed into after the formal photos. The couple ‘jumped the broom’ entering the reception surrounded by lots of friends and family, and everyone celebrated into the evening.
For a glimpse of their day accompanied by a fabulous bluegrass song “Devlin” by their friend, Tony Rice, be sure to check out WNC Video Productions‘ sample:

The couple and their families were truly a pleasure to work with!! The NC Arboretum specializes in green weddings and offers so many beautiful portrait locations that the visual opportunities are prolific any time of year. There are so many spots throughout their beautiful gardens that are perfect for both small and large weddings. We always love getting the opportunity to shoot there!!

Andrew and Lisa had the perfect day for an Asheville wedding. Full ceremony in the Basilica officiated by the groom’s two uncles that are priests followed by a fun reception at the Crest Center Pavilion with music from Orange Krush. We loved working with this couple for so many reasons – mainly because they are the nicest people and are awesome people that are so in love!! All their friends and family were great too! Lisa was a stunning bride in her Maggie Sottero gown that neither parent had seen until the wedding day. Everyone was left breathless once it was unveiled – and then again when Lisa put it on. The entire day was accented by the gorgeous floral by the Bloom Room (we adore Stacey’s work!). Sisters McMullen made the cake and groom’s pecan pie.
Huge thanks to M7 for their amazing staff and catering making the evening so great!!
